Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

Dr. Brian Buinewicz has performed tummy tucks for many years, providing his patients with flat, toned waists.  It is one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures in the nation, and it is frequently sought after by his patients.

An Abdominoplasty removes the excess skin from the tummy and tightens the muscles to shape and define the abdomen.  The procedure lasts between two and five hours, and general anesthesia is administered.  Two incisions are required - one near the pubic area which runs from hipbone to hipbone, and the other around the navel.  The surgeon stretches the skin flap over the tightened muscles, removes the excess skin, and reattaches the navel.

Liposuction (Lipoplasty/Suction Lipectomy)

Liposuction is one of today’s most popularly sought cosmetic surgery procedures. It is used to remove excess fatty tissue from areas around the thighs, knees, buttocks, waist, hips, tummy, chin, cheeks, neck, and upper arms. During the procedure, surgeons use a small, stainless steel tube, called a cannula, and a powerful suction pump to create tiny tunnels through layers of fatty tissue. After surgery, these tunnels collapse, resulting in improved body contour. Thigh Lift

A thigh lift removes excess skin and fatty tissue from the upper legs, on the inner or outer thigh. There are two types of thigh lifts – medial and lateral. Medial thigh lifts target the inner thigh, and are executed through a surgical incision in the inner thigh along the groin. Lateral thigh lifts target the outer thigh, lifting the thigh and buttocks. The incision is made from the groin to the back of the body.

Candidates for such a procedure generally have loose, inelastic skin as a result of extreme weight loss due to diet, exercise, or bariatric surgery.
